Impulse Strings is a premier music organization specializing in events, founded by violinist and violist Alexandria Pritchard. Based in New York City, we serve the NY, NJ, PA, and CT areas, and have recently expanded with a Las Vegas branch, Sin City Strings by Impulse Strings, bringing exceptional musical entertainment to the Las Vegas valley in addition to our presence in the NY tri-state area.Our musicians are some of the industry's top talent—performers who grace Broadway stages, tour with major artists, and play in renowned orchestras. From timeless classical pieces to custom arrangements of your favorite pop, R&B, and film music, we craft a soundtrack that feels personal, elevated, and unforgettable. What kind of events do you play?
While we specialize in luxury weddings, Impulse Strings performs for a wide variety of events throughout New York City & The Tri-State area, Las Vegas, and beyond. Our musicians have provided live entertainment for corporate events, brand activations, galas, private parties, proposals, engagement celebrations, holiday events, fundraisers, award ceremonies, fashion shows, product launches, and concerts.
How do I book Impulse Strings?
Booking is simple! Start by submitting an inquiry through our contact form with your event date, location, and the type of ensemble you're interested in.
We'll confirm our availability, answer any questions, and provide a personalized proposal. Once you're ready to move forward, we'll send over a contract and invoice. Your date is officially reserved once the agreement is signed and the deposit is received.
From there, we'll guide you through the entire planning process—from selecting your music and custom arrangements to coordinating logistics with your planner or venue—so you can enjoy a seamless, stress-free experience leading up to your event.

Absolutely. We offer professional sound reinforcement to ensure your music is heard clearly by every guest, whether your event is indoors or outdoors. Our amplification services can include: Professional amplification for your string ensemble. Wireless microphone and sound support for your officiant during the ceremony. Certified sound technicians to manage audio throughout your event, ensuring seamless transitions and exceptional sound quality. Professional audio is one of the easiest ways to elevate your ceremony experience, especially for outdoor venues or larger guest counts, and we're happy to recommend the setup that's right for your event.
Do you offer custom song requests?
Yes! Custom arrangements are one of our specialties and one of the things that truly sets Impulse Strings apart. While many ensembles perform exclusively from existing sheet music, we create original, in-house arrangements tailored specifically to your ensemble. Whether it's your favorite indie song, a movie soundtrack, a Disney classic, or a piece that's meaningful to your relationship, we'll transform it into a beautiful string arrangement that feels both elegant and personal.

Alexandria Pritchard "Allie May"
Alexandria Pritchard is a professional violinist, violist, arranger, composer, and the founder of Impulse Strings. Based in New York City and originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, she has built a career performing with world-class artists, Broadway productions, luxury brands, and premier orchestras while creating unforgettable musical experiences for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations.
As an orchestral musician, Alexandria has performed with ensembles including the Radio City Orchestra, Las Vegas Philharmonic, Opera Las Vegas, Columbia University Chorus, and the Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra of the USA. Her performances have taken her to some of the world's most iconic venues, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, and the Hollywood Bowl.
Alexandria has shared the stage with internationally renowned artists including Kygo, OneRepublic, Bad Bunny, Rick Ross, The Eagles, TLC, Calum Scott, Amy Grant, Winona Oak, Arturo Sandoval, Laura Pausini, Reik, Travis Greene, JJ Hairston, Oliver Dragojević, and The Chainsmokers. Her string arrangements and performances have been featured in multiple Chainsmokers music videos—including Beach House, Kills You Slowly, and Hope—produced by Sony Music, Sony ATV Publishing, and VEVO. Most recently, she appeared in the concert film Kygo: Back at the Bowl, capturing Kygo's sold-out performance at the Hollywood Bowl.
Her performance credits include high-profile events such as Super Bowl LVIII, the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, the Latin Grammy Awards, the Stellar Awards, New York Fashion Week, and luxury events for brands including Tiffany & Co., Meta, Dell Technologies, and Brunello Cucinelli. Alexandria also served as Music Director, orchestrator, and arranger for the Off-Broadway musical Bone Wars, leading the production's musical development from rehearsal through its premiere.
Through Impulse Strings, Alexandria combines her passion for performance, arranging, and entrepreneurship to provide clients with exceptional musicianship, personalized service, and custom musical experiences that are as unique as each event.
