Our Story

Impulse Strings is a Music for Events organization based in New York City, created by violinist/violist Allie May. Impulse Strings caters to events anywhere in the NY, NJ, PA, and CT areas and has recently opened a Las Vegas branch under the name of Sin City Strings by Impulse Strings that now provides musical entertainment to the Las Vegas valley in addition to the NY tri-state area.

Impulse Strings prides itself in having the best musicians in town as well as the most unique arrangements! We love a personable touch and therefore have been hand-writing all of our arrangements since the beginning. Impulse Strings has played numerous weddings, corporate events, private parties, and has even been contracted by The Chainsmokers and the Stellar Awards (also known as the Gospel Grammys).

What makes us Unique?
* We constantly improve and expand our repertoire. Our versatility of performances allows us to create whatever image you want, thus giving your your own unique and memorable experience.

* We nearly exclusively use Cellobat arrangements by Sarah Chaffee, Aerosmith's top cellist. Bringing the excitement of some of the biggest stages to you!

* We have a wide range of musicians who play with Impulse Strings. Each musician is of the same playing caliber, is used to playing together, and plays the same music. This allows for more flexibility and availability

* Depending on the nature of your event, we can help you choose an appropriate ensemble, ranging from a solo instrument to string and piano duo, trio, quartet.

* We take song requests and are happy to find or arrange music especially for you.
